Client Services Manager

 With a strong commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable populations, Kate has consistently worked towards creating inclusive and supportive environments for children and adults. She is particularly passionate about Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers and child welfare, leveraging these areas of expertise to drive meaningful change and support. Prior to joining the HeartSOS team, Kate worked as a Registered Behavior Technician, a HCBS direct support professional, a service coordinator with the Bureau of Disabilities Services, and a foster care support specialist. She is the membership chair for Indianapolis Animal Professionals Advocating for Animal Welfare (IPAAW) and spends her free time volunteering and tending to her animals and plants.  

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Morales has been a licensed psychologist for over 20 years. He received his Ph.D. From the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and completed a postdoctoral residency at Vanderbilt University. He has extensive experience in Health and Rehabilitation Psychology, and believes effective psychological treatment must also include lifestyle and wellness interventions that are too often ignored or minimized. He has been a psychologist in university counseling centers, director of psychology for a CARF accredited rehabilitation clinic, and worked in hospital based primary care mental health. 

He specializes in evidence based interventions for psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. 

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Laura received a bachelor's degree in recreational management youth leadership from Indiana State University in 2010. In 2018 she received a Master’s degree in human development and counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. Laura integrates an assortment of treatment modalities into outpatient therapy space such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Strength Based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to offer personalized treatment. Primary influences of Laura’s work with clients over the last 7 years include John and Julie Gottman and Jim Knipe. Laura is also certified in Perinatal Mental Health Counseling (PMH-C) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT).

Speech Pathologist

Graduating from Purdue University with an undergraduate degree and obtaining a Master's degree from Indiana State University, Julia began her speech and ABA journey shortly afterward. Since 2018, Julia has garnered extensive experience working with individuals ranging from ages 3 to adulthood. She has a passion for serving the autistic population and specializing in social skills development, articulation, and augmentative alternative communication (AAC).

Through collaborative efforts across various disciplines, Julia strives to devise personalized solutions to help clients express themselves confidently and achieve their communication goals. Julia believes in empowering individuals to enhance their communication skills and foster independence.

Mental Health Counselor

Cassie graduated with a Human Development & Family Studies degree from Purdue University in 2020. She recently earned her Master's degree in Social Work from Indiana University. Cassie has been serving children, adolescents, and adults in the ABA field since 2021. She has other experience working in case management, community mental health and residential facilities. She loves fostering meaningful relationships with clients to help reach their goals.
